📹 Video/Content Series Idea: Framework-Specific Convex Guides

A high-level overview series like:

• “The Only Convex Guide You Need for a Next.js App”
• “The Only Convex Guide You Need for React/Svelte”

and more

Each video or guide could focus on how best to use Convex in that specific framework — where to use what, common patterns, how to organize things, and best practices. Some topics that would be great to cover:

• Auth: how to integrate BetterAuth or framework-native auth within convex funtions or best practices
• APIs: if we're using Next.js API routes alongside Convex, how do we manage that cleanly?
• SSR/ISR: where Convex fits in with server rendering

🔐 Convex Auth: Onboarding is Great, Usage Needs Clarity

I think Convex Auth has a great onboarding experience — it's easy to set up and feels smooth overall.

But where it falls short is clarity around how to actually use auth in different scenarios. Once it’s wired in, I often find myself confused about what the best practices are depending on where I’m calling things from.

For example:

• Should I pass the user from client → server, or check inside the Convex function?
• What’s the recommended way to secure a query vs a mutation?
• How should I structure access control if I’m using:
  • A Next.js API route?
  • A server action or RSC?
  • Just the client?
